MPIC Tackles the SDGs!
'We The People' for The Global Goals
Also known as The Global Goals or The World's To Do List, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a "shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future" and are intended to be achieved by 2030.
They are an ambitious set of goals that require everyone's commitment and contribution... from policy makers to individual citizens.
Sadly, as of Fall 2022, not only are we not on track to achieving the goals, we are actually moving backwards on some of them.
But we still have eight years!
We just can't leave it to the politicians and policy makers. If we truly want to create an abundant free world that works for everyone, we need to take matters into our own hands!
That's where the MP Project Rooms and MP Ignitor Club comes in.
A former teacher, founder Rachelle Chartrand launched both from the axiom:
In order to inspire, we must first educate; in order to educate, we must first entertain.
In other words, transforming the world should be fun! And this includes tackling the 17 SDGs.
To start, each of the MP Projects explore an issue or theme that aligns with at least two of the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. To learn more about the individual project social impact initiatives and what SDGs they tackle, check out the ‘Impact’ section in each of the MP Project Rooms.
And MP Ignitor Club continues to build on this!
By specifically focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (AKA The World's To-Do List!), we are introducing unbridled passion, unique perspectives, and creative voices to a powerful movement already in motion; one that aims to solve the world’s most pressing issue, which is necessary for a free world. But we will do so by focussing on solutions instead of continually focussing on the problems.

To lay the groundwork, MP Ignitor Club also joined the Impact NFT Alliance, a global alliance passionate about creating positive impact with NFTs because of their mission “to ignite and accelerate Impact creation by galvanizing web3 projects around the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals using NFTs.”
